The SNU-EU Center is the first research center to be awarded by the European Commission as Centers of Excellence in South Korea since 2011. The main goal of the SNU EU Center is to develop a national and East Asian hub for EU studies. The Center will coordinate the teaching, research and outreach activities in EU affairs under one national EU-center umbrella, and mobilize all human and financial resources through its diverse networks and partnerships, and thereby maximize synergy effects.
Who We Are
RESEARCH, EDUCATION, GROBAL NETWOKING AND ACADEMIC EXCHANGE
The center is intended to serve as a vehicle for developing EU-related curriculum and teaching activities, for facilitating and developing research works on EU-related topics, for increasing the awareness of Korean public on the EU, its policy and institutions, and finally for promoting outreach activities of various kinds through its network with media and newspaper institutions, publications, conferences and other cultural activities.
